Measuring Austrian students’ procedural knowledge at the end of upper secondary level

The number of complaints university lecturers make about a lack knowledge, especially first-year students’ procedural has increased recently. Due to missing adequate empirical evidence, survey knowledge among students Austrian high schools in their final year was conducted. For this purpose, test items for were created, validated and processed by total 455 without technology formula booklets. based on theoretical model with the dimensions steps, curricular grade level, content area rating importance. Linear models used describe dependencies between success rate these dimensions. results show that level is relatively low overall. A closer look reveals tasks at lower secondary have significantly higher than upper level.
